I was talking to myself today as I was writing something.  My 5 year old daughter was sitting right besides me.  At one point I said "so why did you make a bad choice at the last moment ........". Before I could respond to myself she said... "because you were not focusing".

Do You Pass the Leadership Test?

Brief Date:
30th Aug 2010
Brief Author:
Bill Taylor

The article focuses on why leaders should be people who are willing to opt for a bold course of action when everybody else is choosing the middle path. In a world that is comfortable with people who maintain the status quo, in other words, are comfortably predictable, it is those who have the courage to forge along with their dreams, blazing fresh trails for others to follow, who have the best chances of coming out with solutions that transform their business, their industry and maybe even the world for the better.

Four Big Ways Leaders Exercise Good Judgment

Brief Date:
04th Jul 2010
Brief Author:
John Ryan

The devastation inflicted upon the US financial system and global economy due to unchecked bad decisions made by executives has made the-powers-that-be extremely cautious. We continuously get to hear of new ideas that seek to rein in unrestrained risk-taking. Many of these ideas focus on the assumption that it was greed which drove most investment bankers to make reckless decisions, but that amounts to a pat conclusion which would inevitably lead to other grave problems in future. Disappointment

Disappointment is a figment of your misunderstanding because you can never be disappointed if you understood it. Mostly you just don't want to see the truth.

Facebook in 10 years......

25th August, 2009
By Nick Vaidya

Has the facebook phenomenon reached maturity and equilibrium or are we to expect change?  It is, indeed, a lot of things to a lot of people.  It is a social resume.  It is a directory of people? It is play ground? It is a blow horn? And on and on....Whatever it may be to you, it evolves for each individual. What do you think it will look like in 10 years from now?

Quote of the Day

There are a lot of things that go into creating success. I don't like to do just the things I like to do. I like to do things that cause the company to succeed. I don't spend a lot of time doing my favorite activities.
